Night at the Roosevelt
Night at the Roosevelt was a large semi-formal event planned by residential life at Northeastern University to mark the end of the spring semester and send the freshmenn of White Hall into finals week with a bang. Complete with mocktails, photo booths, teenage pop-anthems, and a long red carpet, twas' truly a dance party for the ages. I crafted collateral to help bring the hype.
Northeastern University Triathlon Team Uniform
In Fall of 2019, the Northeastern University Triathlon Team decided to finally embrace the school's new branding and ditch the remarkably unflattering tomato red uniforms of years past for a more mature look.
I was inspired by the unconventional city grid that coalesces to form the greater Boston area, and used that as the basis for this re-design. The team leadership knew they wanted the uniform to be black, but I believed adding the gray, city texture to the design would both make the pieces stand out and add an element of movement to complement the acts seen in racing.
Featured here are my final two Illustrator designs and some examples of the uniform in use.
A small collection of simple designs that I drew and applied to silk screens with filler or photo-emulsion, to then be printed by hand. It's satisfying to be able to create work that others get to wear, and I have found having a basic understanding of the screen-printing process to be helpful when designing t-shirts and apparel for other organizations.
